Clarifying Shampoo

A mild shampoo WITHOUT sulfates, waxes, fillers or other harsh chemicals used in virtually all store-bought and salon clarifying shampoos. It DOES have natural and organic ingredients, such as Botanicals, Essential Oils and Panthenol (ProVitamin B5), which nourish the hair and scalp while adding lots of shine and body without the weight of waxes. It dissolves the build-up of styling products and natural oils slowly (about 15-30 seconds) without drying the hair out. If you have greasy or oily hair, or use lots of styling products, this is a great shampoo for you.

Directions: Wet hair. Apply a small amount of shampoo, massage throughout.  Rinse.  Re-apply and follow with Hydrating Conditioner, as prescribed or needed.

Ingredients: Purified water, Alkyl Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polyglucose, White Tea Infusion, Sorbitol, Guar gum, Glycereth-2 Cocoate, Benzoic Acid, Panthenol (Pro vitamin B5), Mica, D-alpha Tocopherols (Vitamin E)
Botanicals: Roman Chamomile Extract.  Lemon, Orange, Peppermint, Roman Chamomile and Tangerine Essential Oils.

Hydrating Shampoo

A mild shampoo WITHOUT sulfates, waxes, fillers or other harsh chemicals used in virtually all store-bought and salon shampoos.  It DOES moisturize and hydrate all types of hair with rich foamy suds that quickly rinse clean. It has natural and organic ingredients, such as Botanicals, Essential Oils and  Panthenol (ProVitamin B5), which nourish the hair and scalp while adding lots of shine and body to the hair. If you have normal to dry or damaged hair, you should use this shampoo. You may find that this shampoo may be all you need without following with the conditioner; just conditioning periodically. Try it both ways and see which is better for you.

Directions:  Wet hair.  Apply a small amount of shampoo, massage throughout.  Rinse.  Re-apply and follow with Hydrating Conditioner, as prescribed or needed. You can also use this as a second shampoo if you use the Clarifying Shampoo for your first washing. If you do not use much styling product, you can use this shampoo for both washings. Some people only do one washing, and are fine without the second. You will be able to judge for yourself as to the number of washings you prefer.

Ingredients: Purified water, Alkyl Sulfonate, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Guar Gum, Polyglucose, White Tea Infusion, Sorbitol, Glycereth-2 Cocoate, Benzoic Acid, Panthenol (ProVitamin B5), Mica, Jojoba Protein, D-alpha Tococopherols (vitamin E).
Botanicals: Seaweed Extract, Apple Extract, Black Raspberry Extract, Peppermint Distillate. Peppermint, Roman, Chamomile, Lemon, Orange and Tangerine Essential Oils.

***If the first shampoo doesn’t produce as much suds as you desire, it is because the surfactants are mild and are being used up getting the excess natural oils or the styling products off your hair.  A second shampoo will produce more suds (Although it does not take suds and bubbles to clean your hair, believe it or not).  When rinsing in cooler water after conditioning, taking about four swipes through the hair is plenty, and will leave a small amount on the hair for protection and extra conditioning and shine.

***If your scalp feels a little "tingly" or "itchy", it is most likely that it is just cleaning out all the debris of dead skin cells, built up product and hardened oils around the hair follicles. Hang in there, it usually passes after the first week or two. Your scalp will often tingle when it starts getting more oxygen to it (instead of being closed off by wax, etc.).  If it still feels this way after exclusively using these products for a month, you might have a slight allergy to one of the essential oils. Discontinue use.

Hydrating Conditioner

This conditioner has plenty of Proteins, Vitamins, Botanicals and Essential Oils. This is for dry, damaged or chemically processed hair. It’s Fantastic! This conditioner re-hydrates your hair without adding a lot of weight. It adds softness and shine with depth. This is also great for gray or white coarse hair to soften it and give you a little more control.  If you color, bleach, highlight or perm your hair, you will want to use this every time or every other time your wash your hair. This conditioner has the ability to strengthen your hair shaft up to about 30% stronger than it was before usage.

Directions: Shampoo.  Rinse. To condition, you only need to use about a quarter size for longer hair; maybe a little less for shorter hair. Start putting it on the ends first, then move up to scalp. If you have a dry scalp, rub it into the scalp.  If not, just work it up to the scalp. Leave on 1-3 minutes. Rinse with cooler water to close down cuticle for more shine.

If you need to do an extreme conditioning pack, just put twice as much on to saturate the hair and then put a plastic cap on it.  Leave it on for 30 minutes, and then rinse with cool water, which closes down the cuticle and helps keep the protein inside the hair shaft.  If you will take just 4-5 swipes over your hair when you rinse it, it will become your “leave-in” conditioner. You can even leave it on overnight (without the plastic cap) with a towel on your pillow, and in the morning rinse it out and style as usual. It will be shiny and soft.

Ingredients: Purified water, Cetyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium, Propyltrimonium, Panthenol (ProVitamin B5), Aloe Vera, Wheat Protein, Soy Protein, Keratin Protein, Guar Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Castor Oil, Olive Oil, Benzoic Acid, Glycereth-2 Cocoate, Mica, Jojoba Oil, D-alpha Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Citric Acid.
Botanicals: Peppermint, Roman chamomile, Lemon, Orange and Tangerine Essential Oils.

Packaging

There is a reason for the way we package our products. First, they’re eye-catching. But, second, and most important, the blue bottle has a purpose.  It helps the botanicals, vitamins, essential oils and organics stay fresher and keep their potency longer.  And thirdly, blue is the color that creates energy. I like it because it reminds me of water and the oceans, lakes and rivers, which I love to be around. It’s very soothing, but I feel energized at the same time.  Anyway, enjoy the beautiful bottle.

The cross hanging from your bottle also has a significance. The cross is my reminder that these products were given to me by God. Seek and you shall find. Ask and it will be given...

What We Do Use In Our Products

All of our products have the most Organic ingredients we can find. If it is not an Organic ingredient, we have tried to find the best quality of Natural or Naturally derived ingredients to make our products. We will continue to search and replace with the best ingredients on a continual basis, so you don’t need to worry about the quality dropping – it will only get better, if possible.

What We Do NOT Use

We do not use Sulfates, as they are chemical surfactants that  are very harsh on the hair and scalp, and they are considered to be possible cancer-causing (carcinogenic) chemicals.

We do not use Parabens (ethyl-, butyl-, methyl-, propyl-), as they are considered to be possible cancer-causing preservatives. It has been reported that parabens have been found in the breast tissue of cancer patients (men and women). We choose to use naturally derived and natural preservatives.

We do not use Mineral Oil, which is a petroleum by-product that coats the skin like plastic, clogging the pores. It Interferes with the skin's ability to eliminate toxins, promoting acne and other disorders. It also slows down skin function and cell development, resulting in premature aging.

We do not use animal products or do any animal testing. We do use natural Keratin Protein taken from the Australian sheep’s wool, which has all the important properties needed to make your hair healthier and stronger. When I say no animal products, I mean no actual animal body parts or stuff.

We do not use Waxes in our products to add shine, because wax just coats and then builds up on your hair. It does not replace proteins. It just fills in your hair with wax and coats it like if you waxed a table. Sooner or later you have to take the wax-buildup off or your hair will be lifeless and dull and it will still be dry and probably break off. Wax does not allow the Botanicals, Vitamins and Proteins to do their jobs of keeping your hair healthier and naturally shiny.

We do not use Fragrances. Fragrance on a label can indicate the presence of up to four thousand separate chemicals, many toxic or carcinogenic. Symptoms reported to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) include headaches, dizziness, allergic rashes, skin discoloration, violent coughing and vomiting, and skin irritation. Clinical observation proves fragrances can affect the central nervous system, causing depression, hyperactivity, and irritability.

We do not add Pthalates because we do not need fragrance stabilizers, as our fragrances are not from chemicals, but are natural and organic essential oils. We ask that you use your products within 6 months, as essential oils can lose some of their fragrance and potency in six months of being in a shower or left where light or heat can get to them. “Animal studies have suggested that phthalates can cause reproductive birth defects and some activists believe they may cause reproductive problems in boys and early puberty in girls,” as stated by one major news source. They also state, “check labels for common phthalates, including DEP and DEHP.”  You don’t have to worry with our products, because we will never put them in our products.

Some additional ingredients we don’t put in our products are Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone,  Dimethicone Copolyol,  Cyclomethicone, Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) Ammonium Laureth Sulfate (ALES), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate (ALS), Imidazolidinyl urea, Diazolidinyl urea are all on the “Toxic Cosmetics Ingredient List.”  We don’t know definitively whether they do or don’t cause cancer, but we have made a decision not to even go there. So you won’t find any of these in our products, either. I do know that a lot more people have become sensitized to Salon products than ever before, because in the last 30 plus years of being a Hair Designer working in Hair Salons I have heard of more and more people having to go to the Dermatologist and having breakouts and all kinds of skin disorders than ever before.

So we will just play it safe and not add these.
